i often wonder…

when someone has a certain image, one that is generally a very “typical” image of a “subculture” image, do they see themselves as unique? like, subcultures are generally not that small these days. in fact, “subculture” seems to dominate “mainstream” culture in it’s prevalence, especially on the internet. so the question is, these guys and girls, all who look dime a dozen, do they see themselves as unique, and other people simply copying them? or do they see themselves as one cultural image? i only ask, because often times when i meet people who generally base their image on a template, they are egotistical. i mean, one would generally need to be in order to see a generic template as anything but generic. just one of those things i think about.
